Hello Friends and Family,
I wanted to write a note of thanks to everyone who has helped make this trip possible. Danielle, Megan and I are in Miami now, with about 400 lbs of supplies. Kimberly and Lisa are en route. We are so excited to get on the flight tomorrow and start to work!
We are all grateful for the financial and moral support that you all have provided. Thanks to you, we are bringing antibiotics, antifungals, antiparasitics, braces, crutches, bandages, pain medications, vitamins, physical therapy equipment, durable medical equipment, coloring books, toys, diapers, flashlights and batteries. We have enough supplies to stock 2 clinics and treat thousands of people. I know when we get there, we will see things we didn't even imagine (much less prepare for), but, hopefully, between our supplies and our imaginations, we will do a lot of good.
I'll try to put out a few posts while in country (luckily we are staying at a place with internet connection), and we are planning on taking lots of pictures.
I feel so lucky to have all of you in my life and I hope that you all have a terrific week!
